Please join us September 25th from 2:00-6:00 pm on the Interurban Campus of Camosun College

Camosun Innovates, the Applied Research and Development Centre for Greater Victoria, Southern Vancouver Island, and Lower Mainland SMEs, invites you to join us and:

• expand your understanding of how automation increases efficiency and productivity, reduces costs and errors, and supports customer satisfaction,
• experience collaborative robotics, robotic palletizing, and robotic welding through live demonstrations from Skeans Pneumatic and Automation,
• explore scanning solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into manufacturing facilities of any size with Hexagon, and
• extend your knowledge of additive manufacturing processes (like 3D printing), and data gathering and analysis (like 3D scanning) with Javelin

This event will showcase new technologies and local applications in Advanced Manufacturing including:

• Automation and Robotics,
• Additive Manufacturing (3D printing),
• Digital Acquisition, Analysis, and Simulation,
• Measuring Technologies (3D scanning), and
• Mechanical Engineering Innovations.

Camosun Innovates’ applied research staff will be on hand to showcase:

• 3D scanning and modeling for data collection and precise measurement,
• additive manufacturing as an integral part of design and prototyping,
• federal funding for SMEs looking to engage in applied research,
• new equipment to support our college and community needs,
• student capstone courses to support research challenges,
• training opportunities at the basic and advanced levels, and
• using the advanced manufacturing services available.
