Team Restructuring Strategies (January CEO Breakfast Roundtable)

Team Restructuring Strategies (January CEO Breakfast Roundtable)

Friday, January 9, 2026 (7:30 AM - 9:00 AM) (PST)

Description

Org charts are easy to draw. Living with them is harder. Adding layers can feel like maturity. Removing them can feel like failure.

Most leaders have lived this cycle: adding layers to bring clarity, then later questioning whether those same layers are getting in the way. Using a real example as our anchor, this session will explore the thinking behind creating -- and then removing -- a director layer. We’ll discuss the unintended consequences, the warning signs leaders often miss, and how to make structural decisions that support growth without sacrificing agility.

Please note the following changes to the CEO peer roundtable:

  1. Please welcome our new Chair, Chad Quinn, CEO of Language Foundry.
  2. As a result of focusing more on shared knowledge and experience, all meetings will now be held exclusively in-person.
  3. The last meeting in each quarter will start at 12:00noon and run until 1:30pm.
