SUMMARY:Exploring How AI Affects Team Structure (May CEO Breakfast Roundtable)
DESCRIPTION:AI is quietly reshaping how we build our organizations -- from hiring decisions and team structure to productivity expectations and the pipeline of future leaders. Many of these choices are being made today on assumptions that may not hold: that model pricing will stay low\, that capabilities will keep improving\, and that eliminating junior roles won't cost us downstream. If the economics shift\, the technology plateaus\, or both\, what happens to the organizations we're designing right now? This session gathers CEOs to examine the strategic\, ethical\, and operational tradeoffs before the standard AI playbook becomes a default we can't easily reverse.Questions we may explore together:How effective is AI really in general roles -- and how do we reconcile the studies with the day-to-day sense that "it feels faster"?If AI replaces junior roles\, how do we develop the senior leaders of the next decade? Is this a strategic moment to recruit from the talent pool that other companies are walking away from? What does automating people away signal to our remaining staff and our customers about what we value? Are today's subscription prices sustainable\, or built on venture-subsidized economics that may not last?If "AI-assisted" becomes the new productivity floor\, are we effectively mandating its use?\nFor more information on joining VIATEC Peer Roundtables\, please contact Rob Bennett by e-mail at rbennett@viatec.ca describing how you meet the eligibility criteria for this roundtable.
