ASSOCIATE APPLICATION DEVELOPER
You are a customer-focused team player, responsible for maintaining and supporting applications, correcting data issues, and developing small enhancements within the context of the application architecture.
You design, code, test, and document software initiatives, and assist with designing data structures to support application design in accordance with our organization’s standards and you participate in peer code reviews. You conduct second and third tier incident and problem management software support, while following the defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including for all IT change and release management processes, including but not limited to software versioning, quality assurance testing, and forward scheduling of changes.
You have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well in an energetic, fast-paced project and operations environment.
You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or an IT related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education/training/experience. Java certification would be an asset.
You have experience coding in Java, PL/SQL, and Rest and SOAP Web Services. In addition, you have experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML). Experience in UML, other coding languages (C#, PowerBuilder, .Net, etc.) and using source control tools such as SVN and GIT would be an asset.
