Information Technology



You partner with IT projects and with the various technology groups within IT, to ensure adherence to integration standards and governance. You are responsible for managing data models and ensure documentation is relevant and up to date. You ensure that solutions and integration requirements are complete and delivered within the defined acceptance criteria. You oversee the integration for end-to-end projects from an integration team perspective, from requirements gathering through development and delivery. You oversee the quality control throughout the integration service lifecycle, ensuring comprehensive test plans and appropriate system documentation is in place.


You are a customer-focused team player, with strong communication skills. You excel at building relationships with both internal customers and external vendors, ensuring teamwork and synergy, in the delivery of services to BC Ferries business units. You liaise between the projects and technical teams and facilitate workshops with multiple stakeholder groups. You have a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Business or an IT related discipline.

Your experience and skillsets include:

  • Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Application Integration and Service Oriented Architecture concepts, principles and governance;
  • Strong logical data modeling and data definition documentation and experience with data and process modeling tools;
  • In depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile);
  • Experience gathering, documenting and clarifying requirements from multiple stakeholders using best practice methods and tools;
  • Strong understanding with BA methodologies and standards such as BABOK;
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (i.e. TOGAF, SAFe, Zachman etc.) would be considered an asset;
  • Knowledge and experience of agile development methodologies and process modeling techniques using BPMN notation would be an asset;
  • Business Analysis certification would be an asset.
