Salary Range: $90,900.08 to $128,800.00 per annum

We are seeking a Delivery Lead to join our Digital Services team in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

As the Delivery Lead you will monitor and explore new digital technology trends, foster innovation, communicate business unit needs and serve as a client advocate for products and services offered by the ITS division. You will oversee and guide complex digital initiatives, manage business and technical resources to ensure smooth integration of new systems with internal systems and applications. You will lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams and collaborate with service providers, project managers, and technical leads.

Hybrid Work Model

This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the flexibility to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus. The requirement for in-office presence is a minimum of 40% of your schedule in a month. Additional requirements are determined by the role functions and operational needs of each business area.  

Responsibilities 

  • Oversees and guides multi-disciplinary teams to deliver and improve digital products, resolve technical challenges, and ensure effective execution of IT programs. 
  • Manages product roadmaps, monitors progress and risks, and ensures alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Supervises staff, assigns work, evaluates performance and manages resource needs.
  • Consults with senior leaders to enhance responsiveness and satisfaction with ITS services.
  • Collaborates with service providers and project managers to achieve organizational and Pension Board objectives.
  • Advocates for client needs through relationship-building and providing strategic input.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to prioritize system improvements and influences stakeholders on product direction.
  • Stays current on BCPC system trends to inform decisions and strategies.
  • Gathers diverse user requirements and ensures the integration of new systems with existing applications.
  • Develops expertise in clients’ visions and business priorities to better support their needs.
  • Explores technology opportunities, monitors project timelines, and helps establish policies and standards for client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Must have:

Degree or diploma in computer science, engineering, or related discipline and three years of recent (within five years), related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience leading and supervising IT professionals including recruitment, coaching, motivating, guiding, and supporting development, and evaluating and managing performance.

Experience leading IT initiatives of large scale and complexity that have multiple delivery components.

Experience in business planning, contract management, and financial management.

Experience providing operational IT support for enterprise applications (e.g., Incident Response, Request Fulfillment, Impact Analysis).


Nice to have:

Preferably two years of experience working in an ERP cloud environment.

Relevant training or certification related to Agile methodologies, frameworks, and practices (e.g., Scrum, Disciplined Agile).

Experience working in an agile, digital product-focused development environment, iteratively creating and improving digital products and services.

Relevant training or certification in IT Service Management (e.g., ITIL).

Background in Quality Assurance within a Software Development environment, including but not limited to Tooling, Methodology, resourcing and modernizing the QA practice to align with strategic business goals.

Proven client relationship and vendor management skills

Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to motivate and influence staff and project members in a changing environment

Proven success in managing a business area including managing operations and budgets

Demonstrated ability to manage needs of multiple stakeholders through prioritization, negotiation and effective communications

Demonstrated leadership to successfully deliver digital products or service; successful design, delivery and ongoing management of high-quality services which maximizes opportunities offered by digital technology

Expertise in analyzing and using data to design and continually improve digital services to fully meet stakeholder needs in a convenient and straightforward way

Proven ability to challenge and remove barriers to product delivery
