As the successful candidate, you are a JD Edwards expert, responsible for the lifecycle, usage and support of the application. You are comfortable providing both tier 2 and 3 support for JDE and other integrated systems.
Your skills go beyond setup and configuration though. You excel at working collaboratively with fellow IT and business colleagues to plan, design, implement, deliver, document and maintain the financial system; as well as resolve functional support issues in a timely manner.
You’ll specifically have the opportunity to:
Perform troubleshooting and incident resolution for assigned systems, working with both technical and end-user colleagues as required
Primary role in problem definition and management for functional issues
Coordinate with BC Transit’s software suppliers to contribute to timely incident and problem resolution
Resolve system functionality issues, collaborating with IT colleagues and in accordance with IT change management procedures
Implement and maintain the system security modules, and resolve system specific security and/or access issues.
Maintain and enhance performance of the systems
Develop and maintain applications and system roadmaps for assigned modules
Primary liaison between business subject matter experts and IT
Educate and train users and IT colleagues in the system processes and options
The position will be required to work non-standard hours to implement changes and provide support
What education will you need to be successful? We love lifelong Learners and recommend the following mix of education or certifications to be successful in conjunction with relevant experience:
Knowledge of setup and configuration of Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.1 or higher and of the Oracle Financials modules
Understanding of financial and accounting processes
Knowledge of JDE report writing tools
Strong customer service orientation in all decisions and actions
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to translate between business and technical language
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with business
Degree or diploma in Software Engineering or another IT related discipline from a recognized university or college; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Possession of a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
