IT Application Supervisor

$83,839.27 annually + 5.5% Temporary Market Adjustment

The Queen’s Printer has approximately 50 employees fulfilling a diverse range of services to ministries, broader public sector, and citizens. The team is highly customer focused and supports various lines of business including the printing and digital publishing of provincial legislation and other government related documents; integrating, maintaining, and enhancing business and data systems on a hybrid, on-premise, and cloud infrastructure; print brokering services; a multi-channel contact service department; and providing access to provincially sourced protocol and giftware. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager Digital Publishing and Technology Solutions, the IT Application Supervisor is responsible or managing and evaluating mission critical applications, infrastructure services, network solutions and technology security. They provide guidance to team members in areas of application design, build, implementation standards and processes; and are responsible for the supervision of branch developers, systems, and technical analysts.

Qualifications for this role include:

    Degree and 4 years’ experience in Information Technology or computer science field, diploma and 5 years’ experience in Information Technology or certification and 8 years’ experience in information technology. 

    Minimum 4 years’ recent experience (within 8 years) in Dev Ops.

    Minimum 3 years’ recent experience (within 8 years) providing direct support to an IT operational/production environment.

    Minimum 4 years’ experience supervising staff including the approval of leave and providing technical direction to work teams.

    Minimum of 1 year experience with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, or Terraform.

    Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Java.
