Job Description

The IT Senior Systems Analyst is a collaborative role that works closely with colleagues in IT Services, university stakeholders, and third-party service providers to analyze patterns, identify problems, and determine, design and/or recommend, document and implement solutions (hardware, software or process) for the operations and maintenance of the institution’s infrastructure services. The incumbent ensures that the work done is in alignment with the enterprise solutions architecture and standards.

Job Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, plus at least five years related experience in supporting infrastructure services in a medium or large enterprise
• Demonstrated expertise in networking such as switching, firewalls, RADIUS, VPNs, and routing (including OSPF and BGP)
• Formal training or experience in the following:
• Enterprise security and related products
• Storage area networks and related hardware
• Unified communications
• Cloud and on-premise virtualized environments
• Enterprise monitoring solutions
• Experience with Windows and Linux administration
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
• Strong customer service philosophy, willing to assist others and troubleshoot issues
• Able to establish strong working relationships and participate in team responsibilities effectively
• Participate in on-call rotation

Preferred:

• Experience supporting enterprise systems and network environments
• Excellent documentation skills
• Understanding of ITIL methodology

Additional Information

This is a regular, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at MPT-D with a salary range of $84,423 (minimum) to $99,223 (midpoint) to $114,023 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
