Ready to make a difference in your community and put your software development skills to work to support wildland fire fighters with world class software?  Selkirk is a boutique (SME) software firm that develops near real time software applications used by some of the busiest fire agencies in Canada to prepare for and respond to wildland fire.

Working in a cross-discipline development team, your individual strength, sense of responsibility, and desire to work collaboratively in an agile, informal setting will support and enable wildland fire fighting efforts across Western Canada.  You bring your passion to what you do and how you do it.

Several full-time positions are available at the junior or intermediate level.  Additional opportunities are available for strong Co-ops or new grads, or if you have compelling experience in the nice to haves

Remote working, whether locally or a distance, is fully supported and may be necessary for some or all employment. Skills, environment, and attitude must match. For those working at a distance, overlap with the Pacific Time zone is necessary.

About You:

The Basics:

3+ years (Intermediate) of relevant agile team experience with some good project wins under your belt, or 1+ years (Junior) experience getting the basics in several the following:

• Java
• Spring boot
• Swing UI
• RESTful API’s
• Web
• React
• DevOps
• Atlassian + Docker Hub + Kubernetes
• Microservices and cloud hosted development
• QF Test
• Keycloak
