Are you looking to join a team which is dedicated to service excellence within a dynamic, robust and forward thinking local government organization? We are looking for a Human Resources and Systems professional to provide strategic and operational human resources leadership, advice and support for a wide variety of tactical and strategic human resource services to a diverse portfolio of the CRD businesses.  Key areas of focus include: HR systems management; employment; labour relations; compensation; disability management and employee wellness; employee performance management; benefits administration; learning & development; policy development and administration; and related.  As a key component to this role, the Manager ensures alignment of the division’s operations, with a focus on leveraging new and existing technologies and processes, including SAP/HRIS system integrity and alignment.  Additionally, this position ensures efficient departmental operations through effective management of day-to-day HR operational issues.  

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have: a Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Social Sciences, or related, and significant professional human resources experience, preferably in a unionized environment; experience with administering and maintaining a Human Resources Information System (HRIS); and experience in reviewing systems and processes from the end user perspective and recommending changes that align with corporate requirements.  Experience with the refresh and reimplementation of an advanced HRIS system, including working on a project team for a systems upgrade, and with employee benefits administration and disability management, are preferred.  CPHR designation, or eligibility, is required.
