About the Team
You will be joining one of Workday’s most exciting product organizations, the Experience Design and Development Group (EDDG). With ~500 employees, EDDG is responsible for elevating Workday’s User Experience, and delivering products that our customers love. In light of this exciting challenge ahead, we are seeking a Manager, Technical Program Management, to lead a team responsible for running complex technical programs across our pillars, establishing and aligning to standards for excellence, and engaging stakeholders within and beyond our organization.

Based in Victoria B.C., and reporting to our Director of Business Operations and Strategic Programs, you are responsible for providing technical program oversight across the Experience Design & Development Group.
Your duties will include:
Leading a team of Program Managers responsible for a portfolio of complex Technical Programs;
Creating and overseeing program management strategies to guide the various stages of product development, deployment and integration in collaboration with the product and software development teams;
Coaching team members, assessing team performance, and conducting program health checks;
Overseeing the establishment and maintenance of program health dashboards, metrics, and reports;
Proactively identifying and implementing new processes to drive program management excellence;
Communicating program requirements and managing dependencies across a variety of stakeholders;
Advising and supporting the Director of Business Operations and Strategic Programs;
Collaborating with the Manager, EDDG Strategic Initiatives to effectively allocate program management resources across all EDDG initiatives;
Facilitating meetings and workshops;
Preparing Executive Reporting materials as it relates to the EDDG Technical Program Portfolio; and,
Supporting Annual Planning and Budget activities.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering or Business considered an asset
2+ years Project or Program Management experience (PMP or equivalent considered an asset)
2+ years People Leadership experience
Strong understanding of agile software development, SDLC, infrastructure, and environment operations
Extremely proficient in the Jira toolset (experience with Jira Align considered an asset)
Very Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization and time management skills

Ability to work well under pressure
