STN Video is looking for a Marketing Communications Director to join our team.  The ideal candidate will work with internal stakeholders, graphic designers, marketing leads and product development to become the brand voice of STN.  This position requires the perfect blend of creative talent, writing savvy, teamwork and a genuine desire to champion our external messaging. You will use your creative skills to write winning content that stands out in the digital video industry. If you are a persuasive writer, highly organized, responsive, and have the ability to execute quickly without losing your creative steam, and have found three or more ways you could have written this job description better, we want to hear from you!

  • Write compelling content that positions STN as the leader in Digital Video (Press Releases, Blogs, Newsletters, Thought Leadership, Social, etc.)
  • Develop and execute a communications strategy, including editorial and publishing calendars for PR, blogs, social media, branded email and other outreach pieces.  
  • Develop and execute the content side of an SEO strategy to increase the quantity and quality of inbound traffic to STN’s  website and social channels 
  • Identify, pursue, and manage opportunities for leadership for interviews, article contribution, speaking, panel participation and other thought leadership activities
  • Identify and apply for industry awards that improve the visibility and brand perception of STN in the digital media space
  • Build and leverage relationships with industry connections
  • Ensure all content is accurate, consistent, cohesive and impactfully shares the united voice of STN
  • Capitalize on industry trends and position STN at the forefront of the digital media innovation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on the execution of communications projects
  • Contribute to the overall direction of the Marketing and Communications department



  • 5+ years experience leading communication and content strategies for a digital-first business
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, communication or similar
  • Skilled in planning and executing branding and communications initiatives and strategies
  • Skilled in content creation including  press releases, web, social, blogs etc
  • Familiar with content tracking and analytics tools (please specify)
  • Ability to research and write content surrounding multiple topics (sports, tech, entertainment, news etc.) 
  • Curious mindset
  • Results-oriented with a strong track record of successful delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, and presentation)
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and results-driven
  • Confident in establishing and maintaining a network of media/industry contacts
