SSI is looking for a permanent, full time Operations Coordinator to join our HR & Operations teams in Victoria, BC. The successful candidate will be part of a team that enjoys being of service to others and takes pride in the ability to provide exceptional administrative support. General Duties:

  • Act as backup for Reception as needed
  • Coordinate all office operations requirements to ensure smooth running of the office
  • Coordinate with HR on onboarding of new Employees
  • Prepare for in-house events (catering, set-up, etc)
  • Maintain security screening spreadsheet – TAA’s
  • Conduct company-wide and event specific surveys as requested
  • Manage the swipe card entry system for all new and existing staff
  • Assist the COO with various projects as needed
  • Compile reports, letters, notices, as requested
  • Assist with planning and facilitation of social events and engagement strategies
  • Ensure public areas (kitchen, printer area, and office supply cupboards) all remain tidy and organized
  • Ensure all operational policies and procedures are communicated effectively and followed appropriately


  • college diploma or degree or equivalent work experience
  • a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supporting or coordination role
  • willingness to receive feedback and coaching
  • exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • strong written and oral business communications skills
  • fully competent with the Microsoft office suite
  • thorough knowledge of SharePoint; database applications and a general aptitude for using software tools
