About the Job



We are on the lookout for a People Partner to support our Development and Product teams. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-moving, ever-changing atmosphere, who takes pride in providing world-class people support. Someone who can understand the big picture and love executing on all of the details to support it. You’re a creative, out-of-the-box thinker, who is willing to roll up your sleeves to help us build and scale. 


Please note the preferred location for this role is Victoria, BC, but we are open to hiring remotely within British Columbia.



Some tasks you’ll be taking on



  • Be an advisor to team leads, managers, employees and enable them to do their best work every day
  • Mix strong business judgment with HR know-how and innovative problem-solving
  • Roll up your sleeves to execute a full range of HR duties from administrative paperwork to employee relations
  • Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue, no matter how complex, and design and implement solutions in a timely and thoughtful manner
  • Enable and grow talent by carrying out company initiatives for professional development
  • Be well versed in total compensation, including experience working with salary bands against competitive market data
  • Use insightful data to guide decision making and provide people solutions to enable teams to be more effective
  • Act with integrity and ethics in handling confidential information
  • Lead by example with displaying company values
  • Both be mentored, and offer mentorship to others
  • Involved in recruitment and selection of new team members
  • Strong competency within the functional areas of HR, including but not limited to: Employee Relations, Performance Management, Coaching, Employee Engagement, Compensation & Total Rewards, Learning & Development, LOA Management, Immigration, Compliance, Communications, and Change Management
  • Take on other related people duties 

 


Ideally, you should have


  • Post-secondary education in HR or Business Admin or, 4-6 years demonstrated experience in Human Resources
  • 2+ yrs experience working in tech, bonus for experience working in SaaS
  • Able to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Good judgment and ability to balance the needs of the company and employees
  • Working knowledge of ESA
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively get things done
