The Strategic Initiatives and Business Transformation Branch plays a lead role in managing the over 460 specific Line of Business applications that enable and support Natural Resource Ministries’ (NRM) business capabilities, such as Natural Hazards, Compliance & Enforcement, Climate & Environmental Sustainability, Financial Management & Economic Development, Authorizations, etc.

As the Product Portfolio Analyst, you will play a key role with the Product Portfolio Management team, supporting Senior Product Portfolio Managers and other members of the division and sector, to realize the vision and strategy for the portfolios. The portfolio teams enable their clients to achieve NRM business capabilities, to realize ministry mandates and business priorities, and to maintain their products throughout the application/product lifecycle. Specifically, as an analyst, you will perform asset management, research, analysis, information management and reporting functions within the portfolio management framework, to support strategic planning, portfolio roadmap development, governance, and product lifecycle oversight.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with business, product, technical and/or application analysis.
  • Experience supporting IM/IT initiatives and/or maintaining applications/products throughout the application/product lifecycle.
  • Experience liaising between technical and non-technical groups to prioritize product and/or application development in alignment with strategy.
