This role is responsible for ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements.


Rainhouse is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our growing manufacturing team. Reporting to and working closely with the Quality Assurance Lead, this role is responsible for ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements while supporting continuous improvement throughout the organization.

You will perform inspections, maintain quality records, support audits, investigate non-conformances, and help ensure conforming products are delivered on time. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys problem solving, and takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of quality within a precision manufacturing environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform first part and operation inspections to confirm machine setups
  • Final inspection of product
  • Create inspection plans for part checks on shop floor
  • Review and verify conformance of mill certificates and test reports to international standards
  • Produce quality assurance documentation as necessary, including measurement reports, document
  • packages, SPC charts, Certificates of Conformance, and material certificates
  • Liaison with purchaser to ensure that all material meets specifications and that required documentation is available
  • Liaison with purchaser and vendors to ensure that any outside product or services are provided in
  • accordance with the requirements of the quality management system (QMS)
  • Maintain/Calibrate/Verify inspection tooling, and ensure that all inspection (operator and quality
  • assurance) is performed with the proper equipment with calibration traceable to national standards
  • Liaison with production staff when necessary
  • Proactively contributes to and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
     

Qualifications:

  • Machinist or Mechanical Engineering Technologist or applicable experience
  • Ability to read and quickly interpret mechanical drawings and standards
  • Experience with measurement equipment and statistical analysis methodologies
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) an asset
  • Experience with GD&T an asset
     

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
