We create cutting edge digital marketing campaigns, websites, and custom software solutions for clients all over North America. We do this for industries as diverse as fashion, healthcare, cybersecurity, software as service, non-profit, venture capital, and satellite imaging. We are full stack marketing and sales technology experts, and our services include Digital Marketing and Marketing Automation, Website Development, CRM Solutions, and Custom Cloud Application development.
What’s the job all about?
The role is a hybrid between an executive assistant, digital marketer, and sales administrator. On the executive assistant side, you’d be working directly with the Director of Operations to manage client communications, schedule and attend client meetings, and develop new client relationships. With respect to digital marketing, you’ll be assisting our digital marketing team by creating email marketing campaigns, managing paid advertising campaigns, social media posts, and producing campaign reports. Finally, on the business and sales administration side, you’ll be helping us out with a variety of tasks such as estimates, document creation, and inputting information into our client database.
What kind of skills and experience do you need to have?
The main skills and experience we would need you to have are:
- The ability to communicate professionally via email, phone/web conference, and in person. Preference will go to candidates who can demonstrate experience and success in managing client relationships in a deadline driven environment.
- You are detail oriented and take ownership over the tasks you are given.
- Some familiarity with digital marketing, such as social media posting for business, blog writing, or email marketing, and a general comfort with learning new technologies rapidly.
- Some training or experience with business administration tasks, such as document management, data entry, invoicing, and reporting.
- In terms of other important skills, you would need to be comfortable for being responsible for delivering projects on a deadline, and for juggling more than one project at a time.
With respect to experience, it would be great to hear from candidates that have at least a year or two working in a similar role, but we are also willing to train the right candidate that can demonstrate that they are proficient in the above skill sets and are willing to commit to filling their gaps in knowledge through some rapid on the job training. Candidate with CRM experience is an added bonus but not a deciding factor.
Why work with us?
There are a few reasons why you might consider working with us. The first is that as a small and rapidly growing company, there is a major opportunity to move up quickly and be recognized and rewarded for your hard work. We can offer you a pace of career acceleration that is very rare in most workplaces. The second is that our working environment is awesome. You’ll be working with some very smart people who believe in teams, not bosses, in collaboration, not compulsion, and most importantly, in a workplace where everyone is treated with respect. We have a dog-friendly, exposed brick office in downtown Victoria, that is surrounded by amazing restaurants and is easily accessible by transit. We also offer opportunities for remote work, flexible working hours, and professional development and travel. Ultimately, we want to work with people who are smart, driven, self starters, who thrive in an environment of creative freedom, ownership, and opportunity for advancement based on their achievements.
Under normal circumstances, our team would work both in office as well as enjoying options for remote work. However, given the new BC guidelines towards Covid-19 we are offering all employees the choice to work remotely full-time or schedule specific days to work in the office until further notice.
What’s the offer?
The role is full time, Mon-Fri, based on a standard 7.5 hour work day. The compensation offered will be based on your skills and previous work experience. We also offer a generous extended heath plan, and three weeks paid vacation to start.
If you’d like to apply, please apply with your resume and cover letter. If we think you could be a good fit with the team, we’ll reach out to schedule an interview. Thanks for reading our posting, and good luck!
