$66,557.72 - $75,884.38 annually (effective April 11, 2021) plus 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment 

British Columbia’s Natural Resource Ministries (NRM) are the stewards of the Province’s Crown land and natural resources which reflect the diverse values and interests of all British Columbians. In order to support the growth of the economy while providing effective environmental stewardship, the province’s NRM must transform in order to advance the shared management of British Columbia’s natural resources.

The Information, Innovation and Technology (IIT) Division is leading the modernization and transformation of business practices for the NRM through continuous improvement projects, new technology options and operational information management/information technology (IM/IT). The IIT Division is providing leadership for IM/IT planning, policy and business process solutions and is also the single authority for all information and technology across the NRM.

The Scrum Master is responsible for leading technology project planning, design, implementation and close out, and for the management of the agile sprint process for a scrum team. This role manages and navigates changes in direction, including priorities and expectations of clients and stakeholders, to ensure successful completion of sprint sessions. The Scrum Master develops and maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, businesses, and relevant provincial, municipal, and federal government partners.

Qualifications for this role include:

    Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience in a related field may be considered.

    Minimum one year of experience: 

o    As a project manager on an Agile project(s) or as a Scrum Master.

o    Agile project experience.

    Proficient in Agile lifecycle management practices and tools.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following experience:

    Certification as a Scrum Master

    Practical experience in Agile software development methodologies.
