Senior Account Manager, Customer Success & Growth

Senior Account Manager, Customer Success & Growth

The successful candidate will take ownership of their book of business, identify risks early, keep commitments moving.....

About Enrollment Resources

For over 20 years, Enrollment Resources has helped higher education institutions generate more qualified prospective-student inquiries, improve marketing conversion, and grow enrollment, generating $1.8B in enrollment revenue for our clients.  Our work brings together digital marketing strategy, paid search, conversion rate optimization, high-performing websites, enrollment technology, analytics, and practical guidance for admissions and marketing teams.  We operate as a decentralized, collaborative team. Our clients rely on us not simply to deliver services, but to understand their institutions, identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and help them achieve measurable business outcomes.

The Opportunity

Enrollment Resources is hiring a Senior Account Manager, Customer Success & Growth to own and grow a portfolio of approximately 30–40 higher education clients representing roughly $2-4 million in annual recurring revenue.  This is a senior client-leadership role combining account management, customer success, digital marketing strategy, project coordination, retention, and account growth.  You will be the primary strategic relationship owner for your clients. You will work closely with our paid search, website, conversion, technology, analytics, and delivery specialists to ensure clients receive strong service, understand the value of their partnership, and continue making progress toward their enrollment goals.  This is not a passive account-service role. The successful candidate will take ownership of their book of business, identify risks early, keep commitments moving, advocate for clients internally, and uncover appropriate opportunities to expand relationships. Over time, this role may also have the opportunity to evolve to a Customer Success Manager position.

What You Will Own

Client Relationships and Account Strategy

● Own the overall relationship for a portfolio of approximately 30–40 higher education clients.

● Build trusted relationships with institutional owners, executives, marketing leaders, admissions leaders, and operational stakeholders.

● Develop a strong understanding of each client’s programs, markets, enrollment objectives, admissions processes, competitive environment, and business priorities.

● Establish clear account plans, priorities, success measures, meeting cadences, risks, and next steps.

● Lead recurring client meetings, strategic planning discussions, performance reviews, and renewal conversations.

● Serve as a credible advisor who can explain what is working, what requires attention, and what should happen next.

Customer Success and Advocacy

● Take responsibility for client satisfaction, retention, adoption, account health, and long-term value.

● Represent the client’s goals and priorities internally while balancing scope, resources, performance data, and commercial realities.

● Identify emerging concerns before they become significant account risks.

● Manage difficult conversations directly, professionally, and constructively.

● Ensure clients understand and use the services, technology, reporting, and strategic support available to them.

● Develop and coordinate recovery plans for accounts experiencing performance, service, adoption, or relationship challenges.

● Maintain accurate account-health assessments and renewal forecasts.

Digital Marketing and Enrollment Strategy

● Interpret performance across paid search, websites, landing pages, conversion funnels, affiliate marketing, third-party lead sources, and related digital acquisition channels.

● Translate marketing and enrollment data into clear business implications and practical recommendations.

● Work with internal subject-matter experts to evaluate lead volume, lead quality, cost per inquiry, conversion rates, attribution, website performance, admissions follow-up, and enrollment outcomes.

● Connect marketing performance with the client’s admissions process and operational execution.

● Bring informed ideas and recommendations to clients rather than waiting for clients to identify every need.

● Stay current on digital marketing, higher education, enrollment technology, artificial intelligence, consumer behaviour, and student recruitment trends.

You are not expected to be the hands-on technical specialist in every discipline. Enrollment Resources has subject-matter experts who will support you. You should, however, understand the fundamentals well enough to ask strong questions, interpret performance, coordinate the right resources, and communicate recommendations credibly.

Project and Delivery Leadership

● Coordinate work across paid media, website, conversion, development, creative, analytics, technology, and client-support teams.

● Translate client priorities into clear internal requirements, owners, deadlines, and next steps.

● Maintain organized account documentation, meeting notes, project plans, decisions, and follow-up commitments.

● Keep multiple clients, projects, and stakeholders moving without losing sight of priorities or details.

● Monitor project execution and address delays, misalignment, or communication gaps.

● Escalate material risks appropriately and drive issues through to resolution.

● Create accountability across a decentralized team without relying on formal reporting authority.

Retention and Account Growth

● Own renewal readiness and contribute to retention targets across your portfolio.

● Identify appropriate opportunities to expand client relationships where additional services can create meaningful value.

● Collaborate with the Head of Business Development and internal specialists on renewals, proposals, pricing, account expansion, and commercial conversations.

● Maintain accurate forecasts for renewals, account risks, expansion opportunities, and expected revenue.

● Balance commercial responsibility with strong customer advocacy.

● Ensure recommendations are grounded in genuine client need, expected value, and measurable business impact.

How Performance Will Be Measured

Performance in this role will be evaluated across a combination of:

● Gross client retention

● Renewal readiness and forecasting accuracy

● Identification and management of account risks

● Quality of client relationships

● Contribution to portfolio revenue growth

The role includes uncapped incentive compensation tied to a combination of retention, expansion, portfolio performance, and successful account management.

● Ability to work effectively in a remote, decentralized, and highly collaborative environment.

● Must be legally eligible to work as an employee in Canada.

Strong Assets

● Direct experience with career colleges, vocational education, private-sector higher education, adult education, or student recruitment.

● Familiarity with career-school admissions operations, including inquiry management, speed to lead, appointment setting, tours, starts, and enrollment conversion.
