Be responsible for managing the flow of materials throughout our manufacturing facility, including receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
Rainhouse is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipper / Receiver & Inventory Control Coordinator to join our operations team. This role is responsible for managing the flow of materials throughout our manufacturing facility, including receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate inventory, efficient warehouse operations, and reliable on-time shipments.
What You'll Do
Shipping & Receiving:
- Receive incoming materials, components, and supplies and verify against purchase orders and packing slips
- Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
- Prepare customer shipments, including packing, labelling, and documentation
- Coordinate courier and freight pickups
- Ensure accurate shipment records and tracking information
Inventory Control:
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/MRP system
- Perform cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory counts
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess materials
- Maintain proper labelling, storage, and traceability of all materials
Continuous Improvement & Administration:
- Support 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Assist in improving warehouse organization and material flow
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP transactions and reporting
- Follow all company quality and safety procedures
- Provide additional support-related activities as required
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations (manufacturing experience is an asset)
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems is an asset
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel and data entry)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required
- Familiarity with inventory control and warehouse best practices is an asset
