THE ROLE:


The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring smooth distribution of products across the supply chain, from raw goods at the supplier’s warehouse to finished goods at the production facility, and ultimately to customer’s sites.


Responsibilities include:

  • Administers all purchasing and inventory activities with Contract Manufacturer to ensure smooth and on-time supply of assembled goods. Activities include PPV review/approval, STD Cost approval, assembly quote analysis/review, open order report review, inventory reports of available stock for sale, and supervising the overall coordination of raw goods between companies.
  • Ensure accurate inventory levels both in-house and at the Contract Manufacturer.
  • Develops itemized forecast based on a statistical analysis of historical data and current market trends on a yearly basis (Fiscal Year budget for all raw materials).
  • Tracks actual sales against the forecast/budget and provides monthly updates to Sales and Finance via the “Sales-to-Forecast” dashboard.
  • Negotiates, generates, and tracks contracts with suppliers (Blanket POs, agreements, etc.).
  • Maintains accuracy in costing data for all stocked goods in the ERP system. Analyses and tracks all changes to Standard Costs monthly via the cost rollup process.
  • Main contributor/communicator of the material obsolescence process. Monitors/tracks all actions regarding product obsolescence, including calculating runout dates based on stock levels. Prepares monthly reports and communicates to internal stakeholders.
  • Supervises the quality, quantity efficiency of storage, and movement of goods.
  • Support employees to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards in work practices.
  • Support employees and provide guidance on issue resolution and general Supply Chain Operations questions.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop the supply chain team and provide guidance on issue resolution and general Supply Chain questions.
  • Lead the Manufacturing 2.0 project, which seeks to optimize production and minimize costs via the Lean Manufacturing Methodology.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  •  5+ years of experience in Logistics or Purchasing roles. Experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise with ERP Systems. SAP experience is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft applications.
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills is a must.
  • Beginner or intermediate skills with Power Query, MS SharePoint and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Beginner skills or some acquaintance with Power BI and Flow are an asset.
  • Highly skilled in negotiation, time management, attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Results orientation with a disposition towards continuous improvement.

Job Type: 

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position for a term of 9-12 months with the possibility of an extension.
