As the successful candidate, you are a tier-two technical/user support expert, who not only excels at solving problems, but is always looking at ways to improve existing systems. Here you will apply these skills to our operational and financial management software and systems. Verbal and written communication is key, as you will regularly work with product vendors, as well as maintain and enhance the product support documentation library. You’ll specifically have the opportunity to:
Provide 2nd tier technical and user support to BC Transit’s operational and financial management systems.
Participate in and contribute to a continuously improving software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Support user and corporate decision making.
Support and participate in system maintenance and enhancements.
What education will you need to be successful? We love lifelong Learners and recommend the following mix of education or certifications to be successful in conjunction with relevant experience:
University degree in Software Engineering or a related IT discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
5 years’ experience working in information technology or software development environment
3+ years’ experience developing and supporting SQL reports
Experience working with enterprise HR, Payroll or Finance applications
Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Oracle Discoverer, Crystal Reports, JD Edwards Report Writer, Hubble
The position requires the competition of a Criminal Record Check Or Vulnerable Sector Search
