Jetstream Digital Inc. is actively seeking a creative, highly-skilled and organized individual to join the team as Web Designer/Developer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative Revenue Growth Digital Marketing Agency in Victoria, BC, working with SaaS, ICT, CleanTech, as well as many other sectors both nationally and internationally.
About the Role:
The Web Designer/Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and managing websites, landing pages, and other design-related projects. This includes creating innovative design layout and UI/UX features while delivering a site that meets SEO best practices. This position would involve understanding both graphic design and programming with emphasis on creating mobile-first sites using SEO best practices. The Web Designer will work directly with the Project Manager and other team members prioritizing needs, among other tasks to endure deadlines are met.
At least 3 years of web design or content management experience or combination of education and/or work experience in a related field.
In-depth experience implementing web technology solutions as wel as HTML/Coding skills.
Intermediate to advances WordPress skills and familiarity with Squarespace.
Strong understanding of the principles and practices of design.
Awareness and understanding of up-to0date software such as InDesign, Adobe, & Photoshop.
Understanding of User Interface.
Strong written and verbal skills.
A self-starter with a keen eye for detail and delivering quality end product.
Creative & a team player!
Designing engaging & responsive landing pages as well as ads for various paid advertising an social media campaigns.
Integrating client CMS programs and data feeds into websites.
Optimizing sites for maximum speed and scalability.
Employing industry and design best practices through website build process.
Conducting website testing and rigorous QA.
Attending meetings and reporting to the team regularly.
Completing other ad hoc projects as deemed necessary by the Director.
