From disc golf to dementia care: MeepMeep is expanding

MeepMeep’s smart locator product line is moving beyond sports and into dementia care. The app-connected locators are now being tested in settings where memory loss can make misplaced items a daily source of stress for residents, caregivers, and families.

Victoria-based MeepMeep, known for its disc golf locators, is expanding into healthcare through a new pilot project with Trillium Communities – St. Charles Manor Memory Care Neighbourhood.

MeepMeep’s smart locator product line is moving beyond sports and into dementia care. The app-connected locators are now being tested in settings where memory loss can make misplaced items a daily source of stress for residents, caregivers, and families.

“Trillium Communities have been fantastic pilot partners at every step,” said Eve Bennett, MeepMeep’s founder and CEO. “Going into dementia care felt like a natural step after hearing directly from their team—and their families—about the stress caused by lost items like hearing aids. One family member described our solution as a small investment that could save enormous emotional and financial strain. That kind of impact is exactly why we do this.”

According to MeepMeep, Canada alone has approximately 800 private long-term care homes with an estimated 64,000 residents, representing a $1.3M–$3.2M annual opportunity at the company’s projected $20–$50 price point.

MeepMeep is a Douglas 10 to Watch and BCBusiness 30 Under 30 award winner.
