iWIST, Redbrick and Shift to award three scholarships for women studying STEM on Vancouver Island in 2026.

Island Women in Science and Technology returns with Redbrick and Shift to award three scholarships for women studying STEM on Vancouver Island in 2026. Each scholarship acknowledges the perseverance and commitment it takes for a woman to truly succeed in her chosen STEM field. 

Applications are open until June 1, 2026

iWIST is still recruiting volunteer adjudicators for the three scholarships.


Scholarship adjudicator commitment:

  • Approximately 1.5 hours for training and meetings
  • An estimated 8 –15 hours between June 15 and July 15 (depending on the number of applications and adjudicators)
  • All work can be completed remotely, making it easy to participate from anywhere
  • You partner with another volunteer so you can compare notes and discuss
