Animikii Recognized Among BC’s Tech Leaders with TIA Finalist Nod
BC Tech has announced 43 finalists across 10 categories for this year’s Technology Impact Awards (TIAs), spotlighting standout achievements in British Columbia’s growing tech sector.
This year marks the debut of the Gamechanger – Deal of the Year award, celebrating five transformative transactions that collectively brought $3 billion in investment to the province.
“These deals recognize that BC’s tech ecosystem has matured,” said Jill Tipping, CEO of BC Tech. “We’re now building globally competitive anchor companies in what is a core provincial industrial sector.”
Now contributing 8% of the province’s GDP and jobs, BC’s tech industry has outpaced economic growth for the past decade.
The TIAs also shine a light on emerging talent. Ten startups were named finalists for Company of the Year – Startup, with winners to be selected this fall at BC Tech’s Dragon’s Den Pitch Night, presented by Electronic Arts.
“Celebrating bold, creative thinking is at the heart of what we do at EA,” said Dan Box, VP/GM of EA Ventures. “These startups reflect the fearless ambition powering innovation across the province.”
Winners in all categories will be announced at the TIAs gala on October 23, 2025, at Parq Vancouver.
