Victoria, BC (March 6, 2026) – The VIATEC Awards are back for their 24th year, and the finalists for the 2026 celebration of Victoria’s thriving tech sector have been officially announced. The announcement took place last night at Fort Tectoria, where a packed house at the Cindicates & VIATEC Spring Social gathered to hear the exciting news.

Set to take place on April 1, 2026 at Carson Hall in the Victoria Conference Centre, the VIATEC Awards recognize outstanding companies and individuals contributing to the $7.9 billion impact of Greater Victoria’s tech sector.

This year’s theme, “Western Neon”, promises an evening of high-energy entertainment, networking, and celebration, as guests dust off their boots and glow sticks. 

“Western Neon captures the energy of the West as a place of ideas, creativity, and reinvention,” said Dan Gunn, VIATEC’s CEO. “It blends the glow of modern innovation with the spirit of building at the edge—where technology, imagination, and community shape what comes next.”

The event will include a Creative Challenge, 3-course dinner, Awards Show, and an exclusive After Party right in the centre of Carson Hall. This is a can’t-miss night for tech professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry supporters alike.

Finalists have been named across multiple categories, with recipients set to be selected by a panel of delegates representing Greater Victoria’s tech community organizations. Additional recipient-based awards will be assigned and revealed at a later date.
