Rootd wins $20k at Vancity Innovation Pitch Competition
Rootd is an app offering panic attack and anxiety relief right in your pocket, and a powerful example of how tech can be used for good [based in Victoria, BC, and recent winner of the VIATEC Award for Leader of the Year, Ania Wysocka].
As part of Web Summit Vancouver, Vancity teamed up with Frontier Collective to launch the first-ever Vancity Innovation House: a buzzing hub of panels, fireside chats, demos, and hands-on activations from leaders in climate tech, AI, fintech, mobility, clean energy, and beyond.
At the heart of it all? Bold conversations, and real action, around building a more sustainable, inclusive economy.
Vancity was proud to sponsor the Vancity Innovation Pitch Competition, offering a $20,000 prize to an early-stage startup making an impact through innovation.
Congratulations to Rootd, the winner of this year’s competition! "Through Vancity Innovation House, we’re creating space to learn, explore, and partner, because we know that by supporting local innovation, we help bring Vancouver to the world."
