Shift launches new grant to help shrink tech’s digital carbon footprint
The Shift Impact Grant is open now for startups, non-profits and social ventures to apply
Did you know that greenhouse gas emissions are released every time you use the internet?
To help combat this, Shift, a power browser that makes your online life more productive, is launching its first-ever Shift Impact Grant starting on April 15th, where one sustainability-focused organization will receive a $25,000 USD grant.
Open to startups, non-profits, and social ventures working on innovative sustainable and environmental projects, the Shift Impact Grant aims to support the recipient with funding and mentorship, as well as amplification through Redbrick, Shift’s parent company and a certified B Corp.
How to Apply:
- Open April 15 to May 13, 2025
- Submissions can be made at www.shift.com/impact and include a written application and optional video pitch
- Open to Canadian and US organizations
- Example initiatives include climate tech, software, sustainable hardware, and clean energy
