UVic Engineering Competition seeking sponsors

UVic Engineering Competition seeking sponsors
The UVic Engineering Competition is planned for Mid-October and theyāre actively looking for sponsors who share their passion for innovation, education, and engineering excellence.
Each year, the UVic Engineering Student Society (ECSS) puts on the UVic Engineering Competition (UVEC), where over 50 students compete in a range of engineering-focused challenges. Their goal? To earn a place at the Western Engineering Competition (WEC), where they represent UVic alongside students from 10 other Western Canadian universities.
The competition features the following categories:
- Junior Design
- Senior Design
- Programming
- Debate
- Consulting
- Innovative Design
- Re-engineering
- Communications
Last year, UVEC was a tremendous success: 39 students were sent to the Western Engineering Competition, and 12 of them advanced to the Canadian Engineering Competition where UVic was the only university in the country to bring home two gold medals, along with an additional award. It was an incredible moment for their students.
They want to keep the momentum going this year... UVEC is planned for Mid-October and they’re actively looking for sponsors who share their passion for innovation, education, and engineering excellence.
They offer multiple sponsorship tiers with tailored benefits to recognize contribution and involvement. Your contribution helps fund the cost of the event and/or sending 20 students to WEC (hosted in Edmonton) for three days, whether it be covering transportation, accommodation, and/or meals. The tiers and its benefits are listed down below.
If you or someone you know is interested in sponsoring, please reach out to the contact below. Additionally, they are also looking for judges in each category. Judging does not involve any costs and does not require a sponsorship commitment (However, note that sponsorship does guarantee judging spots). It gives you an opportunity to network with our students, and also gives students an opportunity to network with you.
