Venture for Canada (VFC) offers a win-win partnership through their Winter 2022 Internship Program. Canadian startups & SMEs gain ambitious talent and innovative project support while exposing the next generation of Canadian entrepreneurial leaders to the real-world experience they need to thrive.

Startups and small businesses often lack the resources or time to address finding, paying for, and integrating interns. VFC offers Canada’s only Internship Program that exposes driven university and college students to entrepreneurial & work-readiness training so they can contribute from day one. 

75% of Venture for Canada's Winter 2022 funding has been allocated. They are still accepting Winter Hiring Requests, but encourage you to submit as soon as possible. 

Please note these dates:

Hiring Request submissions will be accepted until December 10th, 2021 OR until VFC has fully allocated funding.

The last day to post a job to the VFC Job Board is Friday, December 3rd!

To meet the conditions of funding, businesses and internships must meet the following criteria:

Be a small or medium-sized business, start-up, social enterprise, nonprofit, or charity

Have a physical office (pre-Covid) in one of the following Canadian provinces: the Northern Territories, BC, AB, SK, MB, QC, NB, NS, PE or NL

Employ fewer than 500 people

Provide a safe and supportive internship that develops innovation or entrepreneurial skill-building opportunities

Remember: submit a Hiring Request once a student has verbally accepted your role and please ensure they have submitted a Student Application. A funding spot will be held for you while Venture for Canada reviews your submission. Please allow 10 business days for an update on the status of the Request.
