Anyone and everyone is welcome to register and attend free events across the city to learn, explore and be a part of the tech community.

VICTORIA, BC — September 16, 2026 — Victoria Tech Week runs September 21 to 25, 2026, with fifty free tech events happening at venues across Greater Victoria. Local companies open their own doors and host the show, so instead of one conference in one building, the whole city becomes the venue.

The format takes its cue from Boulder Startup Week, Seattle Tech Week and NY Tech Week. From funding panels and AI workshops downtown to networking events on rooftops, marinetech demos in the harbour and events at UVic, the week puts Victoria's tech sector on full display, one that generates close to $6 billion a year, has an economic impact of close to $8 billion a year, and employs more than 20,000 people across the region.

VIATEC (Victoria Innovation, Advanced Technology & Entrepreneurship Council) and Marc Stoiber, Revenue Architect, organize Victoria Tech Week. Events include startup workshops, product demos, open houses, panels, mixers and even a coffee crawl on golf carts, all hosted by local tech companies. For those without venue space, “Event Hubs” such as Fort Tectoria, COAST Ocean Innovation Hub, Infusion Play, North House Victoria, and the University of Victoria are opening their spaces for free.

“Victoria's tech sector doesn't have gates or velvet ropes, it has open doors. If you've ever wondered where you'd fit in this industry, Victoria Tech Week is your answer. Walk in, ask a question, and you'll find you already belong here.”

— Dan Gunn, CEO, VIATEC

“Victoria Tech Week works because our tech companies and partners are willing to open their spaces for the purpose of working together, telling us what they’re up to, and showing us where it all happens. Whether these free events are in a warehouse, co-working space, above a storefront or down an alley, it’s exciting to see our city in a different light, straight from the people doing the impressive work.”

— Tessa Davies, Director of Communications and Events, VIATEC
