Are you just starting out with generative AI or dabbling but unsure if you're really doing it right? This hands-on, full-day workshop will fast-track your skills from beginner to intermediate using practical, proven techniques that work. 

Join Rob Cooper and Steve Harris, two seasoned professionals who have been deep in the generative AI trenches, to learn the best practices, frameworks and insider tips they’ve developed through real-world use. 

We'll have a small group of 12-15, so with two instructors you'll get lots of attention for your questions and challenges. 

This is not a passive lecture day - bring your laptop and get ready to work! 

You’ll be completing guided exercises as we go, building your own prompts, testing tools, creating content, and even launching your own custom GPTs. By the end of the day, you won’t just know more, you’ll have done it, hands-on.

• Write in your own voice authentically, originally, and responsibly, with AI acceleration 
• Generate AI-powered images that match what you want to create 
• Build and customize your own GPTs 
• Use multi-step workflows to unlock even more value 

Course Agenda 

9:00–10:30 | Effective Prompt Creation 

Learn the techniques that make prompts work, plus real examples and templates you can use right away. 

10:45–12:15 | Writing Responsibly in Your Own Voice 

Avoid the AI-generic trap and learn how to dramatically accelerate your writing productivity with quality and integrity. 

1:00–2:30 | Image Prompts and Custom GPT Creation 

From visual storytelling to personal assistants. Get creative with images and learn how to create your own virtual “employees” for specific tasks. 

2:45–4:15 | Advanced Topics and Improving Your Business Processes. 

Automate, optimize, and go beyond the basics with advanced prompts, data analysis & end to end business process enhancement. 

Breaks and coffee will be available throughout the day. Lunch is included. 

Whether you're a marketer, professional, entrepreneur, or simply curious, this course will give you the tools and confidence to make generative AI a powerful part of your toolkit. 

Investment 

The cost for this one day course is $1000 although through VIATEC's BOOST funding we are able to offer this program for $500 for VIATEC members (membership will be confirmed prior to event).

Steve Harris 

Steve is a seasoned technology leader who has spent decades helping teams adopt and adapt to new tools and ways of working. Today, he’s focused on making Generative AI practical, approachable, and genuinely useful - especially for those just getting started. With a deep technical, management and executive background along with training certifications from Microsoft, AWS, Google, and IBM, and experience across both commercial and nonprofit sectors, Steve brings a calm, hands-on approach to building real capability and confidence with GenAI. 

Rob Cooper 

With over 25 years in digital marketing, Rob knows what makes content work. He leads a Google Premier Partner Agency, placing his team in the top 3 percent of agencies worldwide, and has extensive experience training professionals in digital marketing strategy. He has been diving deep into AI since the early days of ChatGPT and now teaches others how to write, create, and strategize more effectively using these tools, all while keeping your voice and values intact.
