Course Overview
As organizations move beyond a single Agile Delivery Team a challenge around managing value within a Portfolio and across multiple teams emerges. Aligning Delivery efforts to the overall strategy will drive improved prioritization around what should be delivered when by each team. Factors to consider can include strategic alignment, scope, cost/budget, people staffing, timing, dependencies and other elements.
For an Agile Portfolio to function it requires key supports like Collaboration Events, Visibility via a ‘Big Board’, and a Roadmap, all on a platform of tools. With these in place, decisions can be taken around Portfolio Intake, Work-In-Progress vs Capacity, and various Prioritization techniques.

About the Trainer
Sarah Adams has deep experience as a practitioner – business analyst, product manager, and coach – facilitating change and transforming organizations from the inside. Her focus is on delivering value and creating highly productive teams.
She deploys a wealth of skills in visual facilitation, team building, workflow management, managing distributed remote teams, engaging stakeholders, improving processes, and measuring outcomes. She leads product inception workshops, manages projects from discovery to release, coaches teams on process improvements, and builds decision support tools to help teams and leaders clearly see their current reality and future options.
She is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO). She holds a bachelor’s degree Physical Geography from the University of Victoria and a Masters of Business Administration from McGill University
