Do you want to avoid a formal board with a governance mandate, or you have one that’s not giving you the advice you need? Are you curious whether an advisory board could work for your company?

If you can say yes to any of those questions this is the right meeting for you. Join local experts Scott Phillips and Craig Thomson as they share presentations on their experiences with over ten advisory boards with varying degrees of formality. As usual there will also be a group discussion about related issues and experiences of all attendees.

Scott Phillips is the founder and CEO of StarFish Medical (https://starfishmedical.com/), a medical device development services firm with offices in Victoria and Toronto. He also sits on boards of several private medical device companies and industry associations.

Craig Thomson began his career at Paradon Computer Systems, which he founded, grew and exited. He has also grown and participated in the sale of three companies in the digital payments space including Beanstream, LML Payment Systems, and Digital River (https://www.digitalriver.com/). He currently serves as the COO and board member of Pani Energy (https://www.pani.global/).
