An Insider's Guide to Moving to Victoria
Sunday, September 18, 2022 (11:00 AM - 12:14 PM) (PDT)
Description
Discover what makes Victoria different from other cities and learn insider tips on how to make your move to Victoria a success.
If you’ve moved to Victoria in the past few years, or you’re planning to move here, you’ll find it’s unlike any other city you’ve ever lived in. I moved here almost 30 years ago and it was the best move I ever made, however I was surprised to discover how many people fall in love with the idea of living in Victoria and move here without doing their research. That can sometimes mean that they don’t always have such a smooth transition.
I’ve now dedicated a key area of my coaching practice to helping professionals, business owners and retirees determine if moving to Victoria is right for them and if it is, helping them enjoy a smooth and successful transition. I also help newcomers to Victoria who want to take full advantage of all the city has to offer and would like the support of a professional life & career transitions coach who knows the city and how it works. I help people through seminars, networking training events, online workshops and for those who want more personalized support – one-on-one coaching.
In this seminar I’ll share valuable information that isn’t easy to find elsewhere, including a profile of Victoria residents, the job market, the full range of outdoor and indoor activities, the interesting makeup of local government and perhaps most valuable of all, my inside scoop on what it takes to fully embrace living in Victoria. There’ll be time for Q&A, networking with other participants and some surprise special offers too. All participants receive an 9-page handout with valuable links to relevant resources for newcomers.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
• Profile of Victoria residents
• The best things about Victoria
• The weather & earthquakes
• The Victoria job market
• Where to network
• Outdoor activities
• Indoor activities
• Local government & services
• Places to look for rental accommodation
• Issues facing Victoria
• Sue’s inside scoop
• Sue’s tips for a successful move
• Other helpful resources
Hundreds of people have benefited from attending my seminars and workshops. I deliver this as a community service and just because it’s free please don’t assume the information isn’t valuable. I can tell you that scores of people have told me they wish they’d met me and learned this information when they first arrived in Victoria.
Here’s what recent participants said about this event:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are arriving in Victoria. Two years ago, I attended a session with Sue, and it was of tremendous help to me. Highly recommend it for newcomers!“
“The information Sue has collected over her many years of experience living in Victoria and her networks is pure GOLD.”
“Sue you are doing awesome work – please continue!!”
