We're back after Covid F*cked up our last event! 

Everyone's favourite night. Nothing like watching accomplished, confident people share their still-raw, professional disasters with a crowd of 250 community members.

Better than crying. Cheaper than therapy. 

F*ckUp Nights is a global movement where stories of failed businesses and projects are told, questioned and celebrated. It started in 2012 in Mexico City and we've brought it to Victoria.

3 "f*ckuppers" will have 7 minutes each to tell their story and up to 10 minutes for Q&A. What was the project? What went wrong? What did they learn? What would they do differently?

Rob Fraser What’s harder than building a company all by yourself? Doing it with partners… and still feeling completely alone. Hear how Rob ignored his gut and fooled himself into thinking everything was okay when things definitely were not.	Neil Henderson When Neil got offered the chance to be the co-founder of a company – without actually co-founding the company – it seemed almost too easy. Turns out, it was the start of the hardest thing he’s ever done.	Leif Baradoy Leif had it all lined up. Startup mentality? Check. Brand-name clients? Check. Cool accelerators and investors? Check, check. A ‘Huge-if-True’ market opportunity? Check. There was only one problem: That ‘if true’ part was taking a little too long.

We are always looking for future prospects to share their stories with our community. Pop us over a quick note to kurt@viatec.ca if you think you have something. You'll meet with one of our committee members to hear about your story, and if they feel there's a story to be told, you'll get to be a part of the curation sessions where we help you in putting your story together! It's an exhilarating experience, almost like therapy... but much more fun. Afterwards you will be a part of an elite group of F*ckUp alumni!

VIATEC will have a photographer in attendance at the event to capture attendees networking and taking in the presentations. Should you wish to not have photos of you on our Flickr page, please contact kurt@viatec.ca prior to the event.  

No recording of the presentations is permitted.
