These series will demystify and set you up for success in funding your venture and ensure a long term growth trajectory all the way to an exit!

Ventures require capital to grow and scale up. Founders not only struggle to find the capital they require; they might lack understanding of the impact of receiving an investment and how to successfully engage and negotiate with investors.

The program is focused on getting founders and their startups ready to attract capital from the right investor, and deal with all the complications of various finance forms and term sheets. The course creates an understanding of how to approach valuation, due diligence, and management of post-investment relationships and the capitalization table for long term success.

We strongly recommend you attend the full series but we also offer the opportunity to register for individual modules. Make sure you pick the right one when you register.

The last workshop will be followed by a social with drinks and bites.

Sessions:

October 3 1-3pm - Zoom - Intro to Financing and Determine Your Financial Needs

• Here we set the stage and give an intro to finance with a focus on how the entrepreneur can best prepare for a financing round.

October 17 1-3pm - Zoom - Engaging Investors from Intro to Due Diligence

• In this session we take the business apart to see what investors are looking for. And, how can entrepreneurs be prepared for the investor questions.

November 7 1-3pm - Zoom - Terms Sheets and Deal Structure

• This is a deep dive into the most commonly used structures to invest in a company with some case studies to demonstrate the pros and cons of each. 

December 12 1-3pm - Zoom - Valuation

• For investors and entrepreneurs one of the more emotional issues. But in this session we will demystify it and explain that there is nothing to be worried about.  

January 16 1-3pm - Zoom - Journey to Success

• What happens after the investment is made? And will we get to an exit and have a good financial return? That we will discuss here. 

February 6, 2025 - In Person - Deep Dive Cap Table, executive summary and deck

• Deep Dive forward looking Cap Table
• How to create the perfect 2 page executive summary and pitch deck
• Followed by a social with drinks and bites
