How to Protect Your Business from Cyber Threats

How to Protect Your Business from Cyber Threats

Thursday, May 27, 2021 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (PDT)

Description

As the business world relies more and more on technology, strengthening cybersecurity becomes increasingly important. Cyber attacks can impact businesses of any size and leave them vulnerable to financial losses and reputational damage.

CyberSecure Canada helps small and medium organizations protect themselves from cyber threats by introducing them to 13 baseline cybersecurity controls designed to be straightforward to implement yet effective.

The voluntary cybersecurity certification program is a collaboration by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) and the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security and the Standards Council of Canada. Organizations that implement the 13 controls can receive a government-backed certification that shows their customers, clients, investors and partners their valuable data is protected.

Women’s Enterprise Centre is hosting Lisa Monozlai, Economic Advisor at ISED, to show you how you can improve your business resiliency and competitive advantage by becoming CyberSecure certified. In this webinar, Lisa will share information on:

  • The 13 baseline cybersecurity controls
  • The process and benefits of CyberSecure certification
  • Free resources available to help improve your cybersecurity posture
