Navigating Discipline and Dismissal (Virtual Workshop)

Navigating Discipline and Dismissal (Virtual Workshop)

Tuesday, November 21, 2023 (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM) (PST)

Description

We appreciate our teams and value their contributions to our organizations. And in a perfect world, employees would behave appropriately all the time, perform their job duties expertly (like the rock stars we know they can be) and stay with us forever!

In the real world, where a rapidly changing business environment has been forced on us by a pandemic, causing uncertainty for both employers and employees, it’s inevitable that issues will come up and changes may have to be made. Whether the challenge is attitude, performance, attendance, or if a delicate and dignified dismissal is required, employers and managers should be empowered with the knowledge and knowhow to deal with whatever challenge comes their way.

This workshop focuses on how to move through the three phases in a discipline process when managing both office-based and remote employees and we examine how and when to make the decision to end the employment relationship. Walk away from the training with the confidence to navigate challenging scenarios, and feel well-equipped with the insights, tools and resources to make the best of difficult situations.

This is an Elective course in The Art of HR Certificate Program.

The event will take place from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm (PST) on
