The vast majority of today’s leadership dialogue is about connecting with your team on their level, being empathetic, and compassionate. There is no denying this is all good and valuable stuff. However, what we might be missing is that after a certain amount of trying these things, you’ve got a business to run, and maybe you need to switch your approach to drawing a hard line in the sand, and taking a more authoritative approach.

We see evidence of a hard-ass approach in some of the world’s most successful business leaders. But how to we know when to emulate them versus being the nice leader everyone loves?

In this session, we will engage in a discussion about trying to hit the right balance in leading your company to success. The session will include hearing from the expertise from Anne-Marie Daniel, a founding partner and highly experience business coach from Roy Group. It will be facilitated by Peter Knapp, CEO of Upanup.
