Employment Type:  Regular Full Time 

Union: MOVEUP 

Monthly Salary Range: MoveUp Group 09, MIN $5,730.00 - MAX $6,882.00 is available through annual general wage/step increases.

Recruitment Range: MIN $5730 – STEP 3 $6367

Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. In exceptional cases, candidates may be hired above the recruitment range, provided agreement is reached with the Union.

What you'll be doing...

Our Project Coordinators are key members of our Project teams, and we see this role as a developmental stream into future Project Manager positions. We have several exciting projects planned this year which will give you an inside look into financial planning systems, holistic communication solutions, data, and records management and much more! Every day, you will find yourself managing multiple tasks with competing priorities while focusing on opportunities for continuous improvement in tools, technology, and processes. 

Reporting to the Supervisor, Technology Projects, The IT Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of projects in the technology portfolio to ensure cost, schedule, scope, document control and quality standards are met.   

 Under the direction of a Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is expected to perform tasks that range from the simple to more complex, including schedule and risk management, managing and updating project documentation, project financials, reporting, contract & task administration, along with project status updates.  

Some travel is required in this role depending on project needs.

What you'll bring to the table...

We value lifelong learners and have found that a mix of any of the following credentials have set people up for success in this role in the past: 

  • Demonstrated coursework in Project Management or progress towards a Project Management certification 
  • Relevant work experience in project coordination 
  • Previous project coordination of IT projects would be an asset, but is not essential 
  • Strong financial administrative skills, including cash-flow tracking and forecasting 
  • Proven ability to thrive in high volume, deadline driven environments

  • Interviews will be conducted in late April, 2024
