How You Will Spend Your Time:

•Oversee accounts payable, ensuring all disbursements are prompt and accurate.

•Maintain and update the accounts receivable ledger, aiming to expedite collections.

•Perform monthly reconciliations for bank and credit card statements.

•Contribute to the preparation of month-end and year-end reports.

•Carry out month-end and quarter-end closing tasks with precision and timeliness.

•Efficiently prepare and post journal entries, update ledgers, and accurately record transactions (e.g., disbursements, receipts) in our financial software.

•Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents.

•Reconcile financial records with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure consistency.

•Organize and manage a well-structured filing system for financial documents.

•Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

•Process payroll semi-monthly and manage timely government remittances and filings.

•Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.

•Tackle various ad hoc projects as assigned.


What You Will Need to Succeed:

•Certificate or bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration with a major in accounting preferred.

•Proficiency in trial balances, general ledger databases, financial statement close processes, and accounting principles.

•Understanding of both manual and computerized payroll processes and bookkeeping practices.

•Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.

•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

•Strong analytical, financial, and mathematical skills.

•Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

•High level of trustworthiness and professionalism.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

•Excellent organizational and time management skills.

•Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.


Experiences That Will Help You Thrive:

•Minimum of three (3) years of accounting-related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

•Experience with ERP systems.

•Consistent ability to meet deadlines efficiently.

Job Type: Permanent Full-time

Schedule: Standard Working Hours in Canada (Monday to Friday, 40 Hours per Week). 

Salary Range: $55,000 - $64,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
