Our client, Barnacle Systems Inc., is an award-winning marine electronics innovator, and this is your opportunity to join their collaborative and innovative Canadian team. As the technical bridge between Barnacle’s products and our customers, in this exciting new role you will support pre-sales technical discovery and provide product demonstrations, solution design, and post-sale customer success. You’ll work closely with marine electricians, electronics specialists, dealers, and integrators to help them confidently adopt Barnacle’s solutions. You will play a direct role in increasing sales conversion, improving customer retention, and growing dealer/channel success by ensuring customers receive the right technical guidance before and after purchase.

What would your day as a Customer Solutions Specialist at BRNKL include?
- Pre-Sales Support: Partner with sales to qualify leads through technical discovery, recommend fit-for-purpose solutions, deliver product demonstrations, support proposals, and assist with evaluations and proof-of-concept deployments.
- Customer Success and Enablement: Onboard customers and dealers, deliver installer training and enablement materials, provide remote technical support during installations, and act as a trusted technical partner to drive adoption, repeat sales, and referrals.
- Technical Expertise and Solution Support: Provide hands-on guidance and troubleshooting across IP networking, cameras, sensors, and smart devices, supporting solution design and real-world installation challenges in marine environments).
- Voice of Customer and Product Feedback: Capture customer feedback and recurring issues, collaborate with internal teams to improve documentation, processes, and product messaging, and translate technical capabilities into clear customer value.
- Industry Presence: Represent BRNKL at trade shows, dealer events, and industry meetings, building credibility with installers and partners through strong technical expertise and responsiveness.

Are you the Customer Solutions Specialist we are searching for?
- Completion of a 2-year technologist program or higher education in a related field (Electronics, Marine Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role (technical support, field service, applications engineering, solutions engineering, etc.).
- Strong working knowledge of IP networking, including VLANs, routing, and multi-WAN setups, and experience working with IP camera systems and related protocols (ONVIF, RTSP) and/or smart/IoT device integration.
- Working knowledge of the boating environment and installer realities (marine electricians, onboard power and network constraints, and typical installation workflows), and familiarity with NMEA2000 networks and marine electronics integration concepts.
- Strong written communication skills and comfortable communicating technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Highly self-directed and able to manage multiple customers and priorities without losing track of follow-ups.
- A valid passport for international travel and a willingness to travel occasionally for training, customer installations, and industry events.
