Your hands‑on small batch electronics manufacturing experience will be fully utilized as you actively support and participate in the production of Barnacle Systems’ products, optimizing manufacturing processes, managing inventory, and ensuring product quality through rigorous testing and quality control. Focusing on production efficiency and quality, you will aid in refining processes and maintaining consistency across operations.

What would your day include?

  • Building and assembling BRNKL electronics, performing in-process and final testing to ensure quality, performance, and reliability standards are met.
  • Supporting the full production cycle — from procuring materials to final shipping — while maintaining accurate process documentation.
  • Monitoring and organizing inventory using tracking tools to keep materials and components ready for production.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance scalability.
  • Designing, calibrating, and maintaining electronic test jigs to deliver accurate, repeatable quality control results.
  • Collaborating with engineering and operations teams to refine workflows, uphold quality assurance protocols, and foster a safe, supportive work environment.

Are you the Electronics Manufacturing Technologist we are searching for?

  • Diploma (2 years or longer) in ElectronicsEngineeringTechnology or a related field.
  • 5 + years hands‑on small-batch electronics manufacturing experience (strong candidates with 3 + years will be considered).
  • Expert-level soldering (through-hole & fine-pitch SMT), advanced PCB rework, and systematic electronic fault-finding/troubleshooting.
  • Firmware flashing on microcontrollers/embedded devices (JTAG, DFU, CLI tools).
  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly of enclosures and sub-assemblies, and experience with low-voltage wiring (12/24 V DC), cable harnessing, and connector crimping.
  • Experience with 3D printers and familiarity with inventory and production‑tracking software.
  • IP networking fundamentals (configuring IP addresses, DHCP/static, basic switch/router setup).
  • Experience developing, executing, and documenting functional and regression test plans.
  • A curious and problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
