Hybrid Work Model
This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the opportunity to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus. Guidelines and requirements for in-office presence are determined by operational need and vary according to the unique needs of each business area.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Hybrid Infrastructure Systems Administrator to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.
This role will provide Tier-3 support for both on-premises and IaaS infrastructure. Also supported as part of Tier-3 are Microsoft 365 applications like Defender ATP, Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Always On, Exchange Online, and Teams. Project participation is required to support our ongoing journey to implement cloud solutions.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in on-premise infrastructure administration in a Windows or UNIX environment (servers and applications; SharePoint, Exchange, Windows Server, SQL), including upgrades and change planning, coordination of changes, process improvement, technical documentation, and Tier 2/3 operational support.
- A minimum of two years of experience in designing and managing in a variety of Microsoft cloud technologies including, but not limited to Microsoft 365/ Office 365 platform management, Azure AD and synchronization with Active Directory, administration of user services on Exchange Online, MS Teams, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), and other services.
Experience with two or more the following:
- Managing and maintaining a hybrid identity infrastructure between on-premises Active Directory and Azure Active Directory. This includes managing and configuration of Azure Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Managing and maintaining a Hybrid Exchange environment, including upgrades to the on-premises Exchange application when necessary.
- Managing and configuration of Microsoft Teams, including voice services and Teams enabled handsets.
- Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for iOS, Android, and Hybrid joined Windows 10 devices.
- Automating system administration using scripting/PowerShell.
