Join Quester Tangent Corporation as a Quality Manager

The Quality Manager acts as the Management Representative for Quality, responsible for ensuring Quester Tangent’s Quality Management System (QMS) is developed, implemented, and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this position leads quality audits, manages the change control process, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process and product quality, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards across the company.

How You Will Spend Your Time: Quality System Management:     

  • Oversee and maintain the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001.
  • Lead internal, external, and supplier quality audits. 
  • Chair the Change Management Committee, including scheduling meetings, submitting reports, and managing meeting minutes.
  • Report quality performance to senior management and drive process improvements. 
  • Foster quality awareness and promote understanding of customer requirements throughout the organization.

Product and Supplier Oversight: 

  • Ensure proper handling, inspection, and testing of customer-supplied products. 
  • Maintain oversight of supplier evaluations and the purchasing process. 
  • Control nonconforming materials and implement corrective/preventive actions. 
  • Ensure proper control and calibration of Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment (IMTE). 

Continuous Improvement and Training: 

  • Promote the use of statistical methods to improve product and process quality. 
  • Provide training on new or updated quality procedures. 
  • Ensure staff performing in-process inspections are adequately trained. Documentation and Reporting: 
  • Maintain QMS documentation and quality records. 
  • Oversee the internal audit process and ensure it aligns with company goals. 

What You Will Need to Succeed: 

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Science or Engineering.  

  • Auditor certification from a recognized authority (e.g., ASQ). 
  • Proven leadership abilities with a strong capacity to guide teams toward achieving shared objectives. 
  • Highly proactive and self-driven, with a strong ability to take ownership of tasks and lead initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effectively reporting to management and working with various stakeholders. 
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure compliance and identify quality issues. 
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, particularly in resolving quality concerns and implementing corrective actions.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing requirements and processes. Experiences That Will Help You Thrive: 
  • At least 10 years of quality assurance experience in a design or manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics. 
  • At least 5 years in management within a similar environment.
