Initially founded in Germany in 1996 as a small IT startup serving large enterprise organizations, Bekatec has evolved into a 100% remote global team of 60+ professionals in three countries (Germany, Slovakia, and Canada) and currently manages over 400 complex brand websites around the globe in both the on-prem and cloud-based Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) environment. In 2020, Bekatec made the strategic decision to expand its services to North American clients and established an independent subsidiary in Victoria, British Columbia. Led by industry veteran Paul Deman, Bekatec continues to focus on providing AEM content management services for large enterprises throughout Canada and the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions for large-scale, enterprise-level projects.
• Architect and implement complex AEM components, templates, and workflows, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, content authors, and backend developers, to deliver seamless and responsive digital experiences.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Oversee the integration of AEM with other enterprise systems, including CRMs, eCommerce platforms, and marketing automation tools.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure the highest quality of deliverables.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AEM and web development, and advocate for the adoption of new tools and methodologies.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in production environments, providing expert-level support and resolution.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and related Adobe products.
• Extensive experience in full-stack development, with deep expertise in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular) and backend technologies (Java, Sling, OSGi, RESTful APIs).
• Proven experience in leading large-scale AEM projects from concept to deployment, including architecture design, component development, and integration.
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization, security best practices, and responsive design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
• Experience in cloud-based environments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in AEM or related Adobe products.
• Familiarity with Adobe Target, Adobe Journey Analytics, Adobe Analytics
• Familiarity with Adobe Commerce
• Experience in automated content migration tools
• Bilingual (Fluency in French and English)
