Service Desk Analyst

The Service Desk Analyst position manages the Vital Statistics Agency’s help desk and provides tier 2 technical support as part of the BC Vital Statistics Agency, Health Sector Information, Analysis and Reporting Division (HSIAR) and the Ministry of Health by receiving, diagnosing, escalating and resolving service requests for complex data and application problems.

Qualifications for this role include:

    Diploma, certification, degree or equivalent in the computer science field or equivalent.

    Minimum two (2) years of experience providing customer support services in an information technology environment or helping end users to use and understand computer hardware and software.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

    Experience in maintaining detailed documentation.

    Experience with SQL.

    Experience in an Oracle environment.

    Experience in software development.
